It's Pumpkin Time
 | | Anna Lea Smith took time off from baking pies to haul pumpkins from the truck to where they are displayed on the northwest corner of Stewart Avenue and Nassau Blvd.

On October 14 th a field of orange covered the grounds of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Central Nassau (UUCCN) at the corner of Nassau Boulevard and Stewart Avenue when pumpkins from New Mexico were delivered. The sale started on Oct. 14 th and will continue through Halloween.
Close to 3,000 pumpkins are expected. They are grown in a dry climate, so they should last throughout the month. Price is according to width.
Homemade baked goods will also be available for purchase.
