HOLA Spanish Lessons For Children For the second year, HOLA of Garden City will be offering Spanish classes at the Stewart School for children in grades Kindergarten through 5th. We are very excited to have Mrs. Jeanette Villatoro, also of Garden City, teach this class. Mrs. Villatoro is originally from Chile and has many years of experience teaching elementary school children. Classes are scheduled to start on October 24. We all know how important learning a second language is, and even more important is the need for our children to learn it at a young age. Learning a second language enhances self-esteem and a child's overall mental development. If you are interested in giving your child a head start in learning Spanish, call HOLA immediately for more information at 516-280-0397 or e-mail us at Hola.spanishclass@yahoo.com. Space is still available, so register now! HOLA is a non profit organization founded by a group of Garden City women of Spanish descent and is dedicated to preserving the Spanish language and culture, as well as performing charity work. We offer these Spanish classes as a service to the community. As a result of last year's classes we were able to donate school supplies to needy families through our involvement with mercyFirst, a child welfare organization.
