The Garden City Flames scorched the Hicksville Gladiators in a 6-0 win this Saturday. This U-10 soccer team has been working diligently to come together as a TEAM. They are developing and refining foot skills, positioning, speed and agility. The game against Hicksville started out with Chris Koester putting one in the net early in the game. Followed by two consecutive goals by an aggressive hard working Connor Tariche. Assists were made by Greg Pahlavi and Tim Collins. Bobby Clarke and Alex Franco demonstrated some impressive foot skills. Luciano Migliore finished up the first half by scoring yet another goal for the Flames. Goalie, Chris Costigan, saw little action down at his end during the first half. However, he came out onto the field strong during the second half assisting Bret Alvarez to score TWO consecutive goals. The defense played by Brian Goulard and Billy Trimmer was like a wall. Both these guys have a strong foot, sending the ball back downfield.

The Flames coached by Tom Trimmer, Bill Clarke and Rey Tariche are looking forward to an exciting Soccer Tournament in Windsoe, Ct over Columbus Day weekend.
