50 Years And Going Strong

All the kids enjoyed dancing with Creative DJ Kevin Faber
Good Shepherd Lutheran School first opened its doors on September 10, 1956. The staff, children, our families and friends have spent this year celebrating our 50th anniversary in many ways.

We began with an anniversary brunch reunion where former students got to meet each other and catch up. Historical documents and memorabilia had been gathered all year and were on display for all to enjoy. Throughout the year, a fundraising campaign was conducted to renovate the beautiful playground which is part of the 5 acre school campus. Among the improvements was the addition of a new "speedy racer" teeter-tooter. Pictured here are a few of the current and former students who joined us for an anniversary picnic. Despite the rain and overcast skies, a jubilant atmosphere was felt throughout the crowd that enjoyed good music, good food, and good company and good memories.
