Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray (center), Councilman Ed Ambrosino (right), Town Clerk Mark Bonilla (left) and Receiver of Taxes Don Clavin (2 nd left) presented Garden City Police Officer Stephen Oswald with the 2006 Town of Hempstead Police Service Award. Police Officer Oswald was one of 31 law enforcement officers from the Nassau County Police Department and village police departments within the town who were honored at the town's annual police service awards ceremony. Oswald, a 24-year veteran of the Garden City Police Department, was honored for apprehending a moving vehicle and arresting the three armed occupants after a robbery.
