On December 5 , PO Buonaiuto arrested a 61-year-old Westbury man for aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd degree( 4 suspensions, 3 dates), suspended registration, no insurance, and allegedly passing a red stop sign... PO Hickey arrested a 27-year-old Uniondale man for alleged DWI (.18%), aggravated unlicensed operation 1st degree, not stopping at a red light, unlicensed operation, and no inspection, on December 4, 4:30 a.m., at Main Street/Franklin Avenue... A 49-year-old West Hempstead woman allegedly switched price tags on a pair of Laundry pants, a Nine West top, and an August top, at Lord and Taylor, on December 2, at 2 p.m. She was arrested for petit larceny on the amount of $208... On December 1 , a truck stop was conducted by police along with the MTA, at Commercial Avenue/Clinton Road. Nine trucks were inspected with 42 tickets issued and 1 truck taken out of service... On the same day, police arrested a 50-year-old Hempstead woman who allegedly stole $378 in merchandise, which included 2 pairs of Bernardo pants valued at $130 each, 1 DKNY shirt valued at $29, and 1 black Bernardo jacket valued at $89, at Lord and Taylor... PO Bandl arrested a 24-year-old Putnam Valley woman who allegedly failed to maintain a lane while allegedly speeding at 60 mph on Stewart Avenue, at 4:20 a.m., on December 1. The woman was also arrested for alleged DWI(.10%)... On December 3, someone stole 2 Christmas lawn ornaments at a St. Paul's Crescent house. Value was $200... Pry marks were found on a door at a pharmacy at New Hyde Park Rd. by an officer on routine patrol there, on December 3, at 10:30 p.m... Two females stole 2 rain coats at Sears, on December 2, 6:30 p.m. Value was $700... Between December 2 and 3, someone stole Christmas ornaments including a lamb, a Jesus, and a Santa, from a Kingsbury Rd. House... PO Hickey arrested a 20-year-old West Hempstead woman for alleged DWI( .12%) at Franklin Avenue on December 3, 3 a.m. The motorist had failed to signal a left turn signal at Seventh Street... Between November 27 and 29, someone cut an inflatable Santa at a Nassau Blvd. residence... A witness observed a man with an ice pick who proceeded to slash tires on a car parked on Meadow Street, on December 1... PO Oswald, on routine patrol at Franklin Court, on November 30, 4:20 p.m., arrested a man who had allegedly been attempting to steal $40 in tools from a car parked there. The man was charged with the possession of a controlled substance in addition to petit larceny... A 27-year-old Westbury man was arrested for alleged DWI(.17%), alleged speeding, unlicensed operation,unsafe lane change, and no seatbelt, at Clinton Rd./Stewart Avenue, on November 29, 3:10 a.m...

Dust set off an alarm at a Franklin Avenue office, on November 29... FD rescued a 3-year-old from a locked bathroom at Chestnut Street on the same day... Speedidry was used to clean antifreeze at Stewart Avenue/Edgemere Rd., on November 29... A tree limb came down at a Chestnut St. house on December 1... A steam leak activated an alarm at the GC Middle School on December 2... Firemen cleaned cobwebs from a garage door sensor at a Meadbrook Rd. house on December 2... A working fire occurred at Lavender Nails, NHP Rd. on December 6. FD forced glass from the front door there and then used a 1 3/4 hand line to extinguish the fire. There was smoke/heat damage to the store but the fire was contained at the front.No injuries...
