A Word From The Publisher
We hope all of our readers are enjoying a pleasant weekend with their friends and family. As this paper was produced on a shortened deadline due to the holiday, it is one of the smaller issues of the season. Still, we hope readers take note that the GCHS Girls Field Hockey team is now the state champion. Congratulations, girls!

The St. Paul's proposals are now under evaluation by the Village Trustees, although we understand that the Trustees are still seeking information to understand the proposals. There are several things the Trustees must know before they can approve a particular proposal. Among these are:
+ How does the project help the village?
+ What, if anything, will it cost the taxpayers?
+ Who will do the actual work?
+ What is that entity's track record with similar projects?
+ Will the entity remain financially solvent for the duration of the project (Remember the long years when the previous developers of the Garden City Hotel were insolvent?)
+ What happens if the project costs more than projected?
+ What is the estimated time table for the project?
+ If the answers to any of these questions are still unknown, when will they be known?
If the Trustees were to move forward without knowing the answers to these questions they would be failing in their fiduciary responsibility of their offices.
We hope that all of the information soon becomes available so that the project can move forward with all deliberate speed.
