Tim Collins outrunning a Hicksville player to get to the ball first
Tim Collins outrunning a Hicksville player to get to the ball first The Garden City Flames U-10 boys soccer team had another victorious game against the Hicksville Gladiators this past Saturday. The score was 5-0. The Flames took control of the ball early into the game. The ever agile Alex Franco started it off by scoring the first two goals. Billy Trimmer who was moved up from his defensive position scored the third goal to end the first half.

With such a strong lead, the boys had an opportunity to experience playing different field positions. The Flames demonstrated good ball control and sportsmanship. The second half of the game played out in a similar way with Gregory Pahlavi scoring the last two goals. The Gladiators were kept scoreless by the great teamwork of Brett Alvarez, Bobby Clarke, Tim Collins, Chris Costigan, Brian Goulard, Chris Koester and Luciano Migliore. Sorely missed was Connor Tariche, who we hope will be recovered to play in next week's game.
