Anticipation of the Winter Festival is building at Locust School, where students are practicing for their festival performances. The festivities will be held on Friday, December 15, in the Multipurpose Room. There will be three separate performances. Kindergarten students will perform in two different groups, while first grade students will perform in one group. The curtain will go up at the times below, which differ slightly from those listed in the Garden City School District calendar.

9:15-kindergarten performance for parents of students in Mrs. Groom, Mrs. Reilly, and Mrs. Salierno's classes;

10:00-kindergarten performance for parents of students in Mrs. Crofton, Mrs. Gonzalez, Mrs. Huntington, and Mrs. Polant's classes;

10:45-first grade performance for parents of students in all first grade classes.

Students are encouraged to wear holiday-themed clothing to celebrate this special event. Parents are invited back to the classroom after each scheduled performance for a brief visit and refreshments.
