Black Tie Affair Benefits Cathedral Youth Program

The kids as well as the grownups had a great time!
The kids as well as the grownups had a great time! On Saturday evening, November 4, the undercroft of the Episcopal Cathedral of the Incarnation was morphed into an elegant dinner dance hall. In support of the Journey to Adulthood (J2A) confirmation program of the parish, the attendees came and enjoyed an evening of dining and dancing and fun. The sumptuous dinner was provided by Mary Zimmer of Culinary Heights and the delicious desserts came from Sweet Karma. Everyone agreed the food was terrific. Sonic Boom, the DJ, got the crowd up and dancing the night away.

The profits from this event will go to the missionary work of the young people of the congregation. In past years, the youth have traveled to Navaholand to help with projects for the underprivileged and to experience a way of life different from theirs. The J2A will be having more fund raisers in the future to prepare for their missionary trip.

For further information about the Cathedral and its programs, call the Cathedral Office at 746-2955 or visit the website at www.incarnationgc.org.
