On November 6, 2:20 p.m., police, in a joint investigation with the Nassau County Probation Department, arrested a 40-year-old Wantagh man who was observed operating his car, with a suspended license for DWI. He was charged with 2 counts of aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd degree... On October , 1:45 p.m., a 45-year-old Hempstead man allegedly took a $60 bottle of perfume at Lord and Taylor... On November 7, a 42-year-old Amityville man allegedly stole 2 Arrow pants and 3 Arrow shirts valued at $420 at Sears... On November 3 , at Sears, a 42-year-old Hempstead man allegedly took 2 pairs of Nike sneakers valued at $135... PO Bandl arrested a 24-year-old Williston Park man for a suspended registration, alleged speeding at 60 mph in a 30-mph zone. and unsafe lane change, at Stewart Avenue/Tannerspond Rd. on November 3... PO Dallolio arrested a 31-year-old Lynbrook man for alleged DWI and making an illegal left turn at Stewart Avenue/Franklin Avenue, on November 3, 1:30 a.m. The motorist was taken to the hospital... On November 2 , at CVS, Franklin Avenue, a 32-year-old Roslyn Heights woman allegedly took 2 Craig CD players valued at over $79 there... A burglary occurred at a Meadbrook Rd. house between 5 p.m. on November 3 and 8 a.m. on November 4. A $2400 Stihl 5-horsepower construction tool for black top was stolen from the garage there... A Kilburn Rd . homeowner heard a noise in an upstairs bedroom on November 4, at 12:15 a.m., and discovered that someone had thrown a beer can through a window there. $200 damage... On November 2 , 1:11 a.m., there was an alarm sounding at a Third Street residence and police checked the license plate of a suspicious car in the vicinity and it was a stolen car.The car was eventually located at Barnes Lane and the driver, a 20-year-old New Hyde Park man, was arrested for the criminal possession of stolen property... A pumpkin was thrown through a $500 window at a Kilburn Rd. house on Halloween... On October 30 , someone stole a wallet containing credit cards, $65, bank cards, and a license, at a Franklin Avenue business... A truck stop was conducted on NHP Rd. on November 2. 10 trucks were inspected, with 46 tickets issued, 5 trucks taken out of service. Inspection was cut short due to inclement weather... Another truck stop was conducted at Clinton Rd. on November 7, with 13 trucks inspected, 3 trucks taken out of service, and 101 tickets issued...

Workmen set off an alarm at a Brixton Rd. house on November 8... Steam from a dryer caused alarm at Linen Hall, Adelphi University, on November 1... A small leak in a gas supply line at a Chestnut Street house caused alarm on November 1... Mechanical ventilation removed smoke from a Clinton Rd. house on November 1... LIPA was notified when tree wires came down at a residence on November 2... A house was ventilated at Wyatt Rd. on November 2 after a pan was smoking there...On November 2, FD washed down blood after a dog was struck at Hilton Avenue/Fifth Street... FD requested HAZMAT to investigate an unknown odor at a Seventh Street business on November 3... Security at Social Services was requested to shut down the elevator there after it was determined that it was leaking hydraulic oil, on November 6... A gas heater was shut down at a Cathedral Avenue house on November 6...
