Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Bryan Charles & Maria Bryan, formerly of Garden City, are pleased to announce the marriage of their son, Matthew William Bryan (G.C. class of 1997), to Melissa A. Sgroi, daughter of Joseph and Andrea Sgroi of Montclair, NJ.

The wedding took place August 19, 2006 at St. Mark's Church in Sea Girt, New Jersey. The ceremony was officiated by Father Peter Garry, a close family friend, formerly of G.C. and now Pastor of St. Philip Neri Church in Northport, NY.

The best man was Charles F. Bryan, III (groom's brother). Groomsmen included: John Bryan (groom's brother), Peter Curtin (groom's brother-in-law), Joseph Phillips (groom's cousin) and G.C. high school friends Mark Jaworski, Stephen O'Grady, and Noel McKeon.

The Maid of Honor was Danielle Sgroi (bride's sister). Bridesmaids included: Montclair high school friends Jen Centola and Kathryn Cassanova, Victoria Curtin (groom's sister), and college friends Bethany Bernard, Andrea Bongiorno, and Kyle Reilly. Flower girls include Tess & Mia Curtin (groom's nieces).

The couple met during their senior year at College of the Holy Cross where they graduated in 2001. Matthew is currently employed by Morgan Stanley as a Marketing Associate and is finishing up the pursuit of his MBA at Fordham University. Melissa is employed by the United Nations Association of the USA as the Special Projects Associate in education.

After a two-week honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple is now residing in Hoboken, NJ.
