Enjoying snacks at last year's drive. Get out your semi-formal duds and join the Cathedral Youth Group on Saturday, November 4 for the annual Black Tie Affair and Silent Auction. Take a few hours from your busy schedule and come out for a fun-filled evening. Support the Cathedral Youth Group with your presence and encourage them in the missionary work they do. These young people are active in helping those in need.

The doors open at 8 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Incarnation. There will be music and dancing and hors d'oeuvres. The price is $50 a person and $45 for senior citizens.

Some of the extraordinary items to be auctioned include a Great American Hot Air Balloon Ride for Two, a Great American Hot Air Balloon ride for Four and a Personal Trainer Package.

GCTA/PTA Annual Blood Drive

The Garden City PTA and Garden City Teachers' Association will host their annual Blood Drive on Tuesday, November 14th from 7:30am to 5:15pm in the High School Gym.

The High School gym transformed into a blood donation center at last year's drive. The entire community is invited to "save a life" by donating a pint of blood. Students who are 16 years old are now eligible to donate but must have written parental permission. Students who are 17 or 18 are eligible and do not need parental permission.

Students may sign up on November 8th and 9th during lunch period. Tables will be set up outside the cafeteria. The permission slips for 16 year old students will be available to take home and have signed and must be brought back the day of the drive.

A healthy lunch will be provided for ALL donors.
