Maddy Condulis battles for possession The Garden City Power U-10 girl's soccer team faced a tough Massapequa opponent this week end in Massapequa. Massapequa put heavy pressure on the Power goal during the first half, and the Power defense had to work aggressively from keeping them from scoring. The Power offense moved the ball relentlessly up field and was finally rewarded late in the first half with a Power goal. Massapequa fired back late in the second half, scoring their first and only goal. A competitive Massapequa defense worked hard to keep the score tied, but the Power offense executed a series of excellent passes and fired a shot past the Massapequa goalie. A game saving block by the Power goalie at the end of the game provided a great finish to an action packed game and gave the Power a 2-1 win.
