Over the Columbus Day holiday weekend, the Garden City Girls Div. V All-Stars traveled out to Hecksher State Park to compete in the 24th Annual Fall Classic Soccer Tournament hosted by the East Islip Soccer Club, which featured over 160 intramural tournament teams from all over Long Island and beyond. The GC team played a total of four games, twice against each of the two tournament teams from the host club, East Islip. GC put on an awesome display of highly competitive team oriented soccer as they outscored their opponents 7-1 on the way to posting an undefeated record of 3-0-1 and earning 1st place honors.

The girls demonstrated outstanding skills, great determination and a steady commitment to play as a tight knit cohesive team. Constant communication between players, crisp passing, steady goaltending and timely shots paved the way for the team's success. The players, coaches and parents are all to be commended for making this year's Columbus Day weekend tournament experience a resounding fun filled experience.
