GCHS Girls Varsity Swimming and Diving Co-Captains Kellyn Baconcini and Nicole Sheridan After a much delayed start of the season, the Garden City Girls Varsity Swimming and Diving team (seven-in-a-row County Champions) took their first win against South Side HS at the Long beach HS pool.

This year, the depth of the team's flexibility and talent are apparent by a quick look at the 38 girls roster: 4- 12th graders, 10- 11th graders, 5- 10th graders, 8- 9th graders, 4- 8th graders and 7-7th graders.

Coaches Anne Sullivan (swimming) and George Taylor (Diving) have always relied on versatility and teamwork and are looking forward to the girls going "Straight for Eight"
