On September 21 and 22 Alexandra deMoura qualified with the National Staff at Bela Karolyi's National training facility in Houston, Texas. She was one of 20 out of 3000 gymnasts that tested in the TOPS program. TOPS is a pre-elite training program. Carly Patterson, Marylou Retton and Courtney Krupet, are just some of the former Olympians that have come out of this program. Alexandra will be training in Texas periodically.
