The Stewart Manor Lion's Club has scheduled its 25th Annual 3 Mile race on Sunday, October 29, 2006. The race will commence at the Stewart Manor Country Club promptly at 9:30 a.m. rain or shine. It will run through the streets of Stewart Manor. The race will be proceded by a "one mile" fun run. The fun run will start a 9:00 a.m. sharp.

The 3M race is open to all runners, walkers and roller bladers, but only the runners will be timed for their results and eligible for the awards. There will be 16 divisions for the runners according to gender and age and awards will be presented to the top 3 finishers in each division. Trophies will be awarded to the best overall male and female winners. All fun runners will receive a participation award.

Race applications are available at the Stewart Manor Village Hall. The race is being held during Halloween weekend. The net proceeds of the race will go to benefit Lions Club charities.
