The Western Property Owners Association (WPOA) is seeking applicants for the positions of Village Trustee (two-year term) and School Board Trustee (three-year term). Terms will begin in 2007. At the WPOA's September 13 General Meeting, a nominating committee was established to consider candidates. The committee consists of Mr. Kenneth Rode, Chairman, Mrs. Germaine Greco, Mrs. Mary McCarraher, Mr. Thomas Nastasi, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Whalen, Mrs. Maureen Traxler, Mrs. Helen Carss and Mr. Richard Drewitz.

Any resident of the Western Section of the Village who is interested in either of these positions is urged to submit a letter of interest and a resume to: Mr. John Ardito, WPOA Secretary, 122 Wilson Street, Garden City, NY 11530. The deadline for submission of applications is November 15.

The Western Section of Garden City is bordered on the north by the main line of the LIRR, on the east by the west side of Tanners Pond and Edgemere Roads, on the south by Cambridge Avenue and on the west by Jefferson Street.
