Residents are invited to join members of the Garden City Republican Club on Wednesday, October 11. Beginning at 8:00 PM, Republican candidates will arrive at the Garden City Senior Recreation Center located at the corner of Golf Club Lane and Eleventh Street. Additionally, new club president, Edward Cumming will be sworn in as the club's new leader.

"We look forward to a great evening and toward meeting the candidates. Last month, we were treated to having gubernatorial candidate, John Faso, join us and that certainly is reflective of how important what Garden City residents have to say is to this candidate for governor," said former Club President Tom Muscarella.

Local candidates include 4th Congressional District - Marty Blessinger; 6th Senate District - Kemp Hannon; 17th Assembly District - Tom McKevitt; 21st Assembly District - Tom Alfano; Supreme Court Justice - Thomas A. Adams; Family Court Judges - Merik R. Aaron, Patricia Doyle,Robert Bogle; 1st District Court Judge Francis Ricigliano; and 2nd District Court Judge - Jane Shrenkel,Terrence Murphy, and Darlene Harris. We hope our residents will take this opportunity to come and greet our candidates and enjoy some refreshments too.

Residents are also invited to join club members on Tuesday, October 24th, from 5:30 - 7:30 PM at Grimaldi's on Franklin Avenue for some Pizza and Politics. Members so enjoyed getting together last time, they decided to host this membership drive together with this event.
