As a public service, the Long Island Council of Churches is conducting an information seminar on personal financial matters at the Presbyterian Church in Garden City on Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. Experts will provide general information and answer questions on various financial topics, such as managing credit and debt, reducing household expenses, refinancing a mortgage, reverse mortgages, buying insurance and saving for college and retirement. This is not a sales presentation. The public is invited, and refreshments will be served. The Presbyterian Church in Garden City is located at 91 Chester Ave. on the corner of New Hyde Park Rd., south of Stewart Ave.
