Emma Gong moves the ball up field while holding off Oceanside player. The Garden City Power U-10 girl's soccer team enjoyed their first victory of the regular season in a 5-0 win over Oceanside. The Power defense controlled midfield, allowing for many scoring opportunities. The offense kept heavy pressure on the Oceanside goal, scoring early and ending the first half with a 2-0 lead. A strong defensive effort by the Power forced much of the play into theOceanside end. The Power offense capitalized on this and blasted three more goals past the Oceanside goalie, ending the game in a 5-0 shutout. The Power demonstrated superb teamwork and effort throughout the game.
