A $200 Schwinn mountain bike was stolen from a garage that had been left open at a Meadow Street residence, on September 17... On September 18, 2:50 p.m., a 43-year-old Hempstead man took over $380 in merchandise, which included 3 SONY CD players and an MP3 player, at Sears on Franklin Avenue. The man had a razor blade and he was charged with the possession of burglar tools. He als had a hypodermic needle and heroin and was charged with the possession of a controlled substance... Between September 16 and 17, someone broke the gates at the RR crossing near Field 6 E... On September 14, police officers on special assignment observed a 53-year-old Garden City man punching a tire with an ice pick. The car was an undercover police car and an investigation continues... On September 15 , PO Bandl arrested a 23-year-old Elmont woman for alleged DWI (.18%), for the failure to stay in a lane and for failing to signal a lane change at NHP Rd... On September 16 , 11:46 p.m., someone broke a first floor window at 200 GC Plaza but no one entered... PO Jacobsen arrested a 29-year-old Woodbury man who had charged officers at the scene of a gathering with a large crowd at Fairmount Blvd. on September 16. The charge was obstructing governmental administration... Between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., on September 13, someone stole a pocketbook containing credit cards and personal papers, at Alumni Hall, Adelphi University... On September 15, 2:15 p.m., a 22-year-old Middle Village man was arrested for criminal trespass when he entered a dorm without permission at Adelphi University. The charge was for criminal trespass and for harassment... PO Hickey arrested a 23-year-old Farmingdale man for DWI (refusal)at 3:14 a.m., on September 15. The motorist allegedly did not signal a lane change, and did not have a registration, and also possessed more than one license... PO Stolz apprehended a 17-year-old Garden City male and issued a ticket for alcohol possession to him, in the vicinity of Roxbury Rd./Somerset Avenue, on September 16. There had been a report of disorderly youths there... On September 17 , 4:10 a.m., PO Dallolio arrested a 22-year-old Stanford, Ct. man for alleged DWI(.15%)at Stewart Ave./Franklin Avenue... PO Graber arrested a 24-year-old Westbury man for aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd degree( 13 suspensions, 5 dates), alleged speeding, unregistered, un-inspected, and switched license plates, at Cathedral Avenue, on September 15, 3 a.m... A few minutes later that same day, PO Oswald arrested a 23-year-old Farmingdale man for alleged DWI( .20%) at Seventh St./Franklin Ave...

PO Jacobsen arrested a 28-year-old Hempstead man for driving a truck without a rear object detection device. The trucker did not have a NY state license because it had been revoked for a DWI. He was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation second degree... Police officers Sommer and Mauren assisted an off- duty MTA sergeant in the arrest of a 59-year-old Uniondale man who had allegedly menaced another man with a knife at the GC RR station on September 13, 5:35 p.m. The man was charged with menacing, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and the possession of a weapon... A 41-year-old Freeport woman was arrested at Lord and Taylor at 5 p.m., on September 13, after she allegedly stole 1 pair of L&T earrings, 1 Joseph A. sweater, and 1 Sweaterworks sweater there... On September 12 , 5 p.m., PO McCarthy and Detective Pedone, arrested a 14-year-old Hempstead juvenile, after he allegedly took 5 South Pole shirts and a pair of Paco jeans at Lord and Taylor...
