Sunday, the GCAA Thunder Football program kicked off its season opener. Over 300 boys, ranging from 7 years old through 12 years of age, amongst 13 teams concluded their month long summer practice schedules with their season opening games. Many on lookers enjoyed the beautiful Sunday Fall day watching games from Farmingdale to Elmont. Garden City home games were played at the Stewart Avenue recreation fields as well as the Stewart Avenue Elementary School.

Come join The Thunder each Sunday as well as Friday nights during the season. This Friday 9/15, The Thunder will again start its Community Park Friday night series with games at 6:00 & 7:30pm. For more information on the season, see our website at www.GCThunder.com
