Fairfield University, a Jesuit University founded in 1942 in Fairfield, Conn., has announced the names of the students from this area who qualified for the Dean's list for the Spring 2006 semester.

To be selected a student must attain a grade point average of at least 3.5, of a possible 4.0.

Lauren Murphy , a resident of Garden City and daughter of Robert and Jane Murphy was named to the dean's list.

Lauren is majoring in Studio Arts & Marketing at Fairfield University and is or was active as Art Gallery Assistant.
