The Garden City Wings The Garden City Wings Ice Hockey Club recently completed their summer ice sessions for both the Varsity and Middle School teams at Iceworks in Syosset, New York in preparation for the upcoming Fall - Winter hockey season.

The participating Varsity team members included: David Brown, Eric Diller, Nick Greco, Brian Johnston, Aaron Kim, Michael Lanciotti, David Logan, Nolan McKeown, John Mendicino, Timothy Moynihan, James Ross, Joseph Scalise and Thomas White.

The participating Middle School team members included: Bob Wallace, Daniel Marino, Ken Boudreau, Alex DeMolina, Zachary Bostrom, Chris Arena, Nicholas Angora, Matt Greco, William Barbaro, Jack Worstell, Michael Borges and Patrick Powers.

The summer sessions coaching staff consisted of: Walter Holewa, Richard Peck, James Norell and Joseph Brown.

The coaching staff was also assisted by three "Alumni Instructors": Rob Ungar, Douglas Holewa, Jeff Greco and Ryan Norell.

The Wings Fall - Winter hockey season starts in September of 2006 and will conclude in March of 2007. The program includes twenty games in the High School Hockey League of Nassau County, thirty practices, and some non-League games. Our first practice will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2006 at Iceworks.

The Wings are seeking additional players to complete their rosters for both the Middle School (grades 6 - 8) and Varsity (grades 9 -12) teams.
