The Garden City Knights 6th grade boys basketball team continued their success by winning both the regular season (best record) and the playoffs in the "A" division of the 6th Grade Boys Rockville Centre summer basketball league. The team finished with a strong 7-1 regular season record and then won two playoff games to win the championship. The 9-1 Knights squeaked out a 36-34 over the heat in the finals which was preceded by a 50-36 over the Vikings in the semi-finals. The team was led by the brilliant passing of Sean Walsh and the formidable inside/outside presence of Drew Gallagher. Michael Walsh and Stephen Ollquist provided a strong rebounding force while Andrew Granville and Rob Vani ran the floor with precision on the break. Eddie Blatz and Michael Perrotta contributed offensive firepower to the Knights attack by driving hard to the hoop while utilizing a soft touch near the glass. Congratulations to the boys on a great summer season ! The team is coached by Tom Granville and John Walsh.
