Niebler with a fast pass to Tully A hard fought physical game against a tough opponent, Manhasset, ended a goal short with a 6-5 loss. The game had end-to-end action with great defense by Nick Zawisha, Charles Lee, Emmet Johnson and Eugene Berkery. Dan Marino kept the game close with multiple saves. Goals by John Fallon, Kyle Irwin, Michael Lofrese and Patrick Berkery kept the score even 4-4 till the middle of the 3rd quarter when Kyle Howard scored to put GC up a goal. Manhasset rallied late and scored the final two goals to win the game. As Coach Adams put it... "We didn't lose this game, we just ran out of time".

The next game vs. Baldwin was a 9-7 victory: Both offensives were on fire. Middies Michael Rogers, John Atkinson, Brendan Adams, John Fallon and Andrea Torto passed the ball relentless up to the attack assisting for multiple goals: Pat Berkery 5, Eugene Berkery 1, Kyle Howard 1, Kyle Irwin 1, and Eddie Tigh 1! Great ball handling and scooping up ground balls by Pat Tully, Nick Scheppa, James Elustondo, and Patrick Niebler. Defensive players Nick Zawisha, Emmet Johnson, and Charlie Lee along with goalie, Dan Marino, held off "the vicious Baldwin attack", quoted Coach Johnson.

Johnson clears ball Wantagh visited last week for a Wednesday make-up game, and both teams brought their "A" Defenses to the game. Final tally a 4-0 GC victory. Eddie Tigh and John Fallon dominated the few face offs the game had. Both teams struggled on the offensive end but in the end goalie Dan Marino was the difference, registering the shutout. Wantagh had trouble clearing the ball out of their zone and Coach Tigh could be heard yelling... "Mad dog!!!" from miles away. GC goals were scored by Mike Lofrese, Kyle Irwin, Mike Rogers and Pat Nieble.
