Mineola-Garden City Rotary Celebrates 80 Years
The "legion" of Mineola-Garden City Rotary Club members who turned out to Celebrate the Club's 80th anniversary and to honor Chuck Pacifico.
This past May 12, A legion of fellow Rotarians and friends of Charles (Chuck) Pacifico gathered at the Nassau County Bar Association to honor Chuck, fondly known as "Mr. Rotary," and to celebrate the Club's 80 years of service to the community. A member of the Club since 1971, Chuck has served as both Club president and District Governor. He was one of the Club's founders of the Rotacare project that provides free medical assistance to those in need; he introduced the District's Group Study Exchange and has been equally active in its Youth Exchange Program for the past 15 years. Chuck was an original member of the District's Gift of Life program, serving also as its president. He has been an active participant in Club and District programs and activities throughout his 36 Rotary years and continues to serve in myriad District and Club leadership roles. Born and raised in Mineola, he has practiced law in the village for 40 years. It is most fitting that during the 80th celebration of the Mineola-Garden City Rotary Club, that it proudly salutes Chuck Pacifico, "Mr. Rotary."
