Like at last year's event, there will be 100 lovely cubic and sterling replicas to wear and keep, and this years piece is the very popular "circle of life" pendant. Each person who purchases a $100 chance will receive a numbered box with the cubic and sterling pendant, as well as a chance to win the diamond one. At the end of the evening, we will draw from the numbers on the boxes chosen and a lucky winner will receive the diamond pendant.

Over the years, the "Tastings" benefit has enabled over twenty children to have this one-of-a-kind vacation at Camp Adventure. Last year's "Tastings" event, with the diamond pendant raffle donated by our faithful sponsor H.L. Gross Bro., and the 50/50 raffle, enabled more than seven children to attend. Camp Adventure is a fun filled, weeklong sleep away camp for children with cancer and their siblings, ages 6 to 18. Held each August on Shelter Island, the camp provides an opportunity for kids to just be kids while receiving the medical attention they need from pediatric oncology professionals. Activities are like those found at any camp, and include sports, arts and crafts, swimming, nature hikes, archery, and many special events like dances and carnivals. Tickets for the 50/50 raffle supporting Camp Adventure cost $100 each, and winners need not be present.

Tickets to attend the "Tastings" event cost $100 each, or $75 each for seniors. All tickets are available by sending checks payable to The American Cancer Society to Mrs. Elizabeth Golden at 56 First Street in Garden City, NY, 11530 (the event proceeds will be divided equally between the American Cancer Society and The Miracle Foundation). As summer comes to a close, this last big outdoor gathering is an enjoyable way to support these worthy charities.
