Ambassador Of Sweden To Speak At Adelphi
Adelphi is pleased to welcome Ambassador Sture Theolin of Sweden to discuss "Europeanization of the Balkans" on Thursday, September 7, at 11:00 a.m. in the Ruth S. Harley University Center Ballroom, 1 South Avenue, Garden City. The lecture, sponsored by the Adelphi University International Initiatives Committee, is free and open to the public.
Ambassador Theolin of Sweden is the former ambassador to Croatia and holds the rank of major general, head of the Swedish delegation to the Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission (NNSC) in Korea. NNSC delegates work on the basis of a United Nations mandate and are responsible for fulfilling an impartial military-diplomatic mission of negotiation and mediation. He has also served as permanent representative of Sweden to the United Nations Agencies in Rome, Italy. In addition, he has authored books and articles on security policy issues and military history.
