Ronald McDonald House Sports Festival

Does the challenge of competition excite you? For those who relish in the challenge of sports, miniature golf or walking, you may join your friends and family members in friendly games of volleyball, softball, basketball or tennis at the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island's Twelfth Annual Sports Festival! This huge event will be held at Cantiague Park in Hicksville on September 9. Activities at the event are geared for corporate colleagues, as well as families and individuals.

This year, youngsters of all ages may participate in a mini-golf tournament or at the 1.5 mile Walk-A-Thon, one of our biggest attractions and an activity which continues to receive enthusiastic response each year. Participants in the walk-a-thon who raise $50 or more will receive free t-shirts and lunch; the top fundraiser will earn a prize!

Additional activities include corporate team games, a tennis clinic for beginner and advanced players and a mini-golf tournament. Ronald McDonald will be on hand to entertain little ones with a magic show and fun antics. All Sports Festival participants will receive a bagel breakfast and delicious barbecue lunch.

"The Twelfth Annual Sports Festival promises excitement for everyone," said Silvana LaFerlita Gullo, Executive Director of the House. "Each year, this event grows bigger and better. We look forward to sharing a fun-filled day that will bring people together and benefit many families at the Ronald McDonald House!"
