Garden City Community Dance Project, under the direction of Jacqueline Collins and Jean Marie Philippou, held its gala performance, Think, Feel, Move, on May 12-13 at Garden City High School. A Dance Project performance is never a typical recital but a collection of beautifully choreographed dance pieces set to an eclectic blend of music that everyone in the community enjoys seeing year after year.

The Dance Project is composed of over 40 dancers from Garden City Middle and High Schools and will begin a new season this September at the Unitarian Church on Stewart Avenue. Students receive professional training in ballet, pointe, modern and jazz and participate in guest-artist workshops. Dance Project's conservatory program, known as "Training Core!," is geared to the younger dancer from third through sixth grades and begins in October.
