Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute has announced that Brian Christopher Janeczko of Garden City was awarded a bachelor of arts degree at its 200th commencement on May 20th.

Calling the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Class of 2006 graduates "the frontline warriors" as global science and technology innovators, General Wesley K. Clark, U.S. Army Retired, encouraged students to be engaged as citizens in the global community, to be leaders in promoting economic opportunity, and to always pursue and embrace justice and equality.

The University of Pennsylvania has announced that Jason Butler , son of Tom and Robin Butler, has been named to the Dean's List for the 2005 -2006 academic year. The Dean's List requires a minimum grade point average of 3.7 for the academic year. Jason is enrolled in the Ben Franklin Honors Program and is a member of the Class of 2009.

Jason is employed this summer as an intern at both the National Corporate Theater Fund and at MCC Productions, a Broadway theatrical production company, in New York City.
