Graduation Ceremony At The Cathedral
Parents and graduates receiving support from the congregation.
On Sunday, June 11, at the 10:00 a.m. Mass at the Cathedral of the Incarnation graduating seniors were recognized as they begin to take their next step in their life journeys. Graduates of the High School Class of 2006 were invited to step forward to the altar with their parents and Godparents. Parents and Godparents were asked to offer their ongoing support to the graduates by lifting them up routinely in prayer as they continue on their faith journeys. Each senior was gifted with a personally embroidered blanket to remind them that their parents' Godparents' and love surrounds them wherever they go and that the Cathedral of the Incarnation, as a Christian community wraps its nurturing arms around them as they step out into the world.
The children also asked for God's blessing upon the parents and Godparents who loved and cared for them even when it was difficult. They thanked them for the sacrifices they made and the selfless love and courage and patience given to them.
Those graduating High School Seniors who were recognized are Ferdi Beaman, Libby Cipollina, Kristina Dara, Heather Doyle, Tim Guy, Amanda LeSueur, Conor McNulty, Nicole Mercer, Matt Povolny and David Tamke.
