Next Thursday, July 20, the Garden City Chamber of Commerce will hold its 11th "After Hours" networking event to be hosted by Life's WORC at its 1501 Franklin Avenue building. Refreshments will be graciously provided by the Wingate Inn and Tin Alley Grill. Both Residents and business people are welcome to take a break on a summer's evening of fun in a relaxed informal, yet festive atmosphere.

Over the past two years, Chamber "After Hours" have been held in various venues around the Village. "We thank Life's WORC for opening the doors to its facility that provides such a needed service throughout Nassau, Suffolk and Queens Counties," commented Rob Salvatico, event chair.

A not-for-profit agency, Life's WORC provides comprehensive support services for people with developmental disabilities including mental retardation and autism. The agency maintains 32 homes and 11 community based programs. Life's WORC is currently celebrating its 35th anniversary. Please join the Chamber for this special event. The fee is $22 for Chamber members and their guests; $27 for non-members, and may be collected upon arrival. There will be a business card drawing for a door prize generously provided by Andron Realty. There will also be a special table provided for business literature.
