The Garden City High School Chapter of Jump Start Foundation is hosting their Third Annual Triathlon at Hofstra University on Sunday, July 30th, from 7 AM to 1 PM, to raise awareness and funds for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Mercy Medical Center. On-line registration is available on their website at www,jumpstartfoundation.org or by visiting the GC Recreation Department at Village Hall. The Triathlon is open to ages 9 through 99 and includes a 225-yard indoor pool swim, followed by an 8-mile bike ride, and ends with a 3-mile run. It may be completed as an individual or as a relay team. The AquaRun is open to ages 7 to 15 and includes a 100-yard indoor pool swim followed by a half-mile run. The $50 donation for the Triathlon and $30 donation for the AquaRun includes breakfast and our popular Jump Start T-shirt. Volunteers are asked to e-mail us at jumpstartonlife@aol.com.
