The Recreation Department has acquired a limited amount of seats through Prime Time Travel for Radio City's Christmas spectacular on December 5, 2006. We will travel by coach bus to attend an 11 a.m. show and then enjoy a delicious lunch at the Swan Club after the show. The full cost of this trip will be $109.

In order to make a reservation for this trip, please visit the Recreation Office in Village Hall. A check made payable to "Prime Time Travel" in the amount of $25 will be needed to reserve a seat on this trip. Again space is very limited for this trip so get your deposit in early!

Yoga Over 50

The Garden City Recreation Department is pleased to offer a summer session of its very popular "Yoga over 50" class. This class will be offered twice weekly beginning the week of July 10 according to the following schedule:

Mondays from 10-11 a.m. at the Senior Recreation Center

Wednesdays from 9-10 a.m. at St. Paul's Cluett Hall.

Any Garden City Resident aged 50 or older may register for one or both classes. The session will run for five weeks at a cost of $25 (one class per week). To register for this program, please visit the Recreation Office in Village Hall.

Noon Time Concerts

On Seventh Street

The Recreation Department will sponsor two "Noon Time" concerts in June on Seventh Street. These concerts will be held on June 16 th and June 23 rd and will feature various styles of music for you to enjoy. The concerts will take place on the plaza in front of Chico's on Seventh Street and will begin at noon. Please bring a lunch and enjoy the entertainment!

senior Recreation Group Events

Monday, June 26 - "Bring your own picnic." Bring your lunch and, if you have a special salad or dessert you love to make and share, bring it along! Beverages will be supplied by the Recreation Department for all. This event will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. outdoors at the Senior Recreation Center. Please note: there is no rain date for this event.
