On March 31, Stratford Avenue School held its annual fifth-grade play. This year, the children performed the Rodgers and Hammerstein's version of "Cinderella."
Originally, this show was written for early television in 1957. The CBS network premiered Cinderella with Julia Andrews in the lead role on March 31, 1957. Forty-nine years later Stratford presented the show to an appreciative and enthusiastic audience. Directed by Mrs. Adrienne Werring and assisted by Mr. Jerry DeFina, the children did an outstanding job, and experienced the joy of working together for a common goal. Congratulations to a wonderful cast!
