The children in Mrs. Hogan's kindergarten class enjoyed a Mother's Day brunch with their moms. The children planned the event. They read a Mother's Day poem and each child chose their very own special book to read to their mother. Moms chose a book to read to their child, and the children cuddled up with their mommy for a quiet reading time. As part of the balanced literacy program, the children are beginning to read simple books, and they enjoy displaying their expertise.

Mrs. Hogan's class enjoyed bagels, cookies and juice for their brunch. A wonderful time was had by the children and moms.
