On May 28, 10:27 a.m., PO Roumeliotis arrested a 20-year-old Freeport man for 2 counts of aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd degree, and for equipment violations, at Clinton Rd./Pine Street... On May 28 , between 10:15 a.m. and 12:50 p.m., someone threw a landscaping light through a window at Washington Avenue and there was $500 in damage... PO Graber arrested a 35-year-old Kings Park woman for driving northbound in a southbound lane allegedly DWI (refusal)on Nassau Blvd. on May 27.The woman had a conditional license... On May 26 , 3:50 a.m., PO Florio arrested a 19-year-old NYC, NY man for alleged DWAI (driving while alcohol impaired), the failure to signal a lane change, passing a red light, and no insurance, on Stewart Avenue... Police conducted extra DWI patrols as part of the Safe and Sober campaign during this past holiday weekend. On May 29, 4:55 a.m., PO Bandl arrested a 20-year-old Hempstead woman for DWI (refusal) at Clinton Rd. after the woman's car was observed in and out of lanes there. She was also charged with unsafe lane change, no insurance, and no license... On May 25 , 2:55 p.m., PO Buonaiuto arrested a 25-year-old Elmont man for aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd degree and 3rd degree at Stewart Ave./Whitehall Blvd.The motorist was also not wearing a seatbelt...On May 25, a truck stop was conducted at Clinton Rd., with the State DOT at the scene. 11 trucks were inspected with 8 trucks taken out of service and 64 tickets issued... On May 24 , 10:37 p.m., PO Stolz observed a 35-year-old Mineola man making an illegal left turn at Franklin Avenue from Stewart Avenue without signaling. The motorist was charged with alleged DWI( .15%) as well as no insurance, disregarding a traffic sign, and the failure to signal a lane change... A 44-year-old Far Rockaway man allegedly stole two Argus digital cameras valued at $240 at Sears on May 17... On May 23 , 4 a.m., PO Oswald arrested a 36-year-old Westbury man for alleged DWI after his car was observed crossing the lane markings at Franklin Avenue/Fourth Street. He was charged with no seatbelt, no insurance, unsafe lane change, and alleged DWI(.12%)...

FD checked out a report of smoke on Sackville Rd. and found a homeowner there using an outdoor fireplace... Smoke from burning toast caused alarm at a Vassar St. house on May 28... Bird nesting material in the vicinity of an electric heater was removed after smoke occurred in a control room at a Stewart Ave. business on May 30...
