Stratford Science Fair A Success
Mr. Biglin and his students
On the evening of March 21, Stratford Avenue School was filled with parents and family members attending the 23 rd Annual Science Fair. The projects displayed scientific knowledge researched by Stratford's third-graders. In addition to the evening fair, projects were displayed for all students during the school day. This year's fair was organized by Mr. John W. Cronin, science consultant at Stratford and Stewart schools.
Mr. Cronin coordinated the topics of the fair to the science curriculum, with the major topics including the solar system, the human body, weather, plants and animals, forces and machines, energy, and earth science. The third-grade teachers also did an exemplary job in helping to make the annual science fair a wonderful learning experience. Ms. Hopkins, principal of Startford School, noted that the relation of the projects to the curriculum will help the students to better understand the subject matter.
