Nursing And Leadership Conference At Adelphi

The Adelphi University School of Nursing, in conjunction with the Alpha Omega chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International, is pleased to celebrate Nurses Week with the second annual Nursing Leadership and Research Conference, "Every Nurse is a Leader," on Thursday May 11, and Friday, May 12. The conference is from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, in Adelphi's Ruth S. Harley University Center ballroom, 1 South Avenue, Garden City, NY. The purpose of the program is to provide knowledge about how changes in healthcare will effect future development of the profession and to raise awareness about the need for nurses to develop leadership skills individually and collectively. Professionals in clinical practice, educational professionals, faculty, administrators, and students are encouraged to attend.

The conference will feature keynote speaker Dr. Kathy Malloch, program director for the College of Nursing master's in healthcare innovation program at Arizona State University and president of Kathy Malloch and Associates. The conference will also include various speakers addressing issues of nursing and leadership, as well as small group discussions and poster and panel presentations.
