Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE)

If you have a preschool child and you suspect that he/she has developmental delays you should consult your family doctor; if the doctor is concerned, or you are still not comfortable with your child's progress, you may make a referral to the Garden City Public School Committee on Preschool Special Education. In order to make a referral or to ask any questions, contact Pupil Personnel Services at 478-1050.

Committee on Special Education (CSE)

The Garden City School District, in compliance with state and federal law, has made provisions for school-age students with educational disabilities to obtain special eductaion services through the district Committee on Special Education.

The Committee on Special Education, which consists of special and regular education teachers, parents, a chairperson, psychologists and other designated personnel, evaluates and recommends all students who are eligible for special education services.

If you suspect your child has a disability, contact the school psychologist in your child's school or call Pupil Personnel Services at 478-1050.
