John's Knights paid tribute to their Council Division Champs and their families at the traditional "Pizzas and Trophies" party held in the St. Anne's School Cafeteria on Wednesday evening, April 12, prior to the Knights regular monthly meeting.

The happy session also served as a departing tribute to two outstanding performers, Leo Driscoll, Jr. and Teresa Lynch of the 14-year olds bracket who respectively "graduated" to the Chaminade H.S. Freshman and the Kellenberg H.S. JV basketball teams! (Ms. Lynch is the daughter of the Knights Free-Throw Coordinator, James "Jay" Lynch).

Dramatic highlights of the season included the Knights winning 7 out of 10 titles in the 17th District Championships and the second trip through five challenging rounds for Leo Driscoll, Jr. to the New York State finals in which he finished third. He had won the 11-year olds state title three years ago. Driscoll recorded an outstanding 83.5 % foul shooting average (96 out of 115) in his 2006 championship run.
