A packed audience enjoyed Ed Deacy's Irish songs. On Sunday, March 12, in celebration of St. Patrick's Day, the Garden City Public Library welcomed Ed Deacy for a lively program. Mr. Deacy entertained the packed audience with traditional Irish songs. Many of the patrons enjoyed singing along. Mr. Deacy put on an outstanding performance and the library was pleased to have him. The winner of this program's raffle was a young Irish lass named Kaleigh Flaherty. Miss Flaherty took home a new book on Ireland courtesy of the library.

Continuing with Irish week, the library welcomed Laurie Campbell on Wednesday, March 15. Ms. Campbell presented a beautiful slide show tour of Ireland. Her impressive slides were accompanied by her lively talk on all things Ireland. Ms. Campbell spoke to another packed audience and the library was happy to have her as well to top off Irish week. Edward Heiskell was the winner of this raffle and took home a new book, "Postcards of Ireland," courtesy of the library.
