The Garden City Recreation Department is happy to announce that the department will be holding the following camps this summer.

Preschool Camp for ages 3.5 to 5 yearsweeks of July 10, 17,

24, 31, and August 7

Basketball Camp for grades 3 to 6Week of June 26

Lacrosse Camp for grades 3 to 6Week of July 10

Baseball Camp for ages 6 to 12Weeks of July 17 and July 24

Soccer Camp for ages 6 to 12Weeks of July and August 7

Registration and further information about each of these camps will be printed in this newspaper in the upcoming weeks.

Pepsi's Pitch, Hit and Run competition

The Recreation Department will be holding its annual Pitch, Hit and Run Competition at Grove Park on Thursday, May 4 at 4 p.m. This baseball competition is free and is open to any resident of the Inc. Village of Garden City who is seven years of age but not over 14 years (age determined as of July 17). Pre-registration is necessary and must be done by Thursday, May 4 at noon. Please visit the Recreation Office in Village Hall for the registration form or for any questions.

spring tennis tune-up

All residents of the Inc. Village of Garden City are welcome to join our Spring Tennis Tune-up. This program is geared to the competitive and team oriented tennis players. All sessions will be run at the Community Park Tennis facility. The cost of each session will be $60.

We have divided this program into five sessions as follows:

Session 1 - Monday, 5/1 and Wednesday, 5/3 -9-11 a.m.

Session 2 - Monday, 5/1 and Wednesday, 5/3 -11:30-1:30 p.m.

Session 3 - Tuesday, 5/2 and Thursday, 5/4 -9-11 a.m.

Session 4 - Tuesday, 5/2 and Thursday, 5/4 11:30-1:30 p.m.

Session 5 - Friday, 5/5 Mini Clinic - $40.11:30-1:30 p.m.
