If the standing room only crowd thought that was exciting, even more was to follow. The spectators were treated to a real nail biter throughout the game but nothing was more exciting for the Garden City fans as when Robert Engelke scored the winning goal just 1:26 into overtime. Final score 15-14
There was a total of 29 goals scored during the game, the largest combined total in the 115 meetings between these two teams.
Terry Kennedy led GC's scoring with 4 goals. Robert Engelke, Corey Garvey, Dean Gibbons and Justin Lynch each had 2 goals while Steve Dachille, Brian Mullooly and Francis McDonough had one each. Goalie John Capitani had 12 saves. You can see over 700 additional photos from the game at www.Newsphoto.com
