Are you a voice, band, electronic music or orchestra student who has a desire to perform in front of an appreciative audience? Do you want to practice your upcoming NYSMA piece before the festival? Do you just want to show off your talents? Do you have a small group of friends who like to have fun while performing together? If so, the Garden City Friends of Music has the perfect solution. Join us on Sunday April 30, 2006 from 2pm until 4pm at the Garden City Community Church for our annual Student Showcase. We welcome all students, from beginner to advanced musicians to perform musical selections from Chopsticks to Chopin. All abilities are welcome. The showcase is free and light refreshments will be served. Performers are required to pre-register with the title of their selections and the composer. Our annual showcase continues to be a popular event and fills up quickly. So don't delay, and sign up to ensure your spot on our program. The general public is also cordially invited to attend.

The Friends of Music sponsors and funds awards to recognize musical achievements of Garden City students.
