'Update On Colon Cancer'
Free Lecture Sponsored by Winthrop-University Hospital April 11th Winthrop-University Hospital's "Advances in Cancer Care" educational series will host a free lecture, "Update on Colon Cancer," Tuesday, April 11, 2006, at 7:00 PM. The meeting will be held at Winthrop's Community Outreach Center, 101 Mineola Boulevard, at the corner of Second Street in Mineola. In the past five years, new innovations in the diagnosis and treatment of colon cancer have greatly improved a person's chance of survival. Michael Garrison, MD, Attending Physician, Division of Oncology/Hematology at Winthrop, will present the latest information about early detection and targeted therapies. He also will discuss new treatments in metastatic disease. A question and answer period will follow the lecture. Attendees are asked to arrive at 6:45 PM.
